New Leaders Council

About

New Leaders Council Boston is a local chapter of New Leaders Council (NLC). NLC is a growing network of local chapters across the United States dedicated to promoting the next generation of progressive leaders.

NLC engages young professionals from outside the traditional political pathways by providing them with the tools to make a difference in their communities in order to empower the progressive movement for decades to come. NLC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and non-partisan organization founded in 2006 to recruit, train, and promote the next generation of leaders.

Founded in 2009, NLC Boston is one of the most vibrant NLC chapters. With over 100 alumni from business, government, academia, finance, education, entrepreneurship, nonprofit organizations, religious groups and advocacy campaigns, NLC Boston is already making its impact in the greater Boston area. Diversity is a key priority for NLC Boston because we believe it makes us stronger and trains our Fellows to build coalitions across cultural and professional boundaries.

NLC Boston has been recognized nationally and honored with awards such as Institute of the Year in 2010, 2012, and 2014, and the Alumni Engagement Award in 2013.
